Fierce or Foolish: Chrisette Michele at Soul Train Awards

Exciting news ladies and gents! Tonight I’ll be hanging out with songstress and newly natural diva Chrisette Michele. She will be signing albums at the Carol’s Daughter Store in Harlem from 6-8p and I’ll also be attending a private listening session for her new album later in the evening. Aside from adoring her music, I’m in love with her style. Here the lovely lady graces the purple carpet at Soul Train Awards wearing a chic off the shoulder black frock and an uber glam sparkle turban. As you guys know from my Ten Before 2010 post, turbans are on my list of trends to incorporate into the wardrobe before the year is out. I was so inspired by InnyVinny I wore one today! (See Twitpic here) Anyway back to Chrisette...

Soul Train Sneak Peek Pics!!

Ok so the Centric Soul Train Awards don't air until November 29th, BUT I got my hands on a few of the Red Carpet photos. Here are a few of my faves:

Fantasia looks amazing! Word on the street is that she lost some weight...this dress certainly makes it seem that way. And her golden T-strap pumps are a WIN!

All black everything seems to be the move this Awards season...the Red carpets are filled with all-black attire lately:

Kandi looks adorable in this cocktail dress...the feathers are a nice touch.

Keri Hilson & Monica...gorgeous as ever! I dunno if I'm feeling Monica in those black tights and red heels though...hmmm

Letoya looks stunning in this Herve Leger. Is it me or is anyone else over the whole Herve Leger movement?

Tamia in a one-shoulder draped dress. I love the silhouette, but I'm not a fan of the color. This would've been knockout in like a deep purple or an evergreen. I feel like she would be camouflaged if she fell on the floor...

Melanie Fiona and Chico Debarge - her dress is different, I like that.

I love this couple dearly, but I dunno about a floor length leather dress...hmmm. Her makeup and hair are great though!
