LoveBrownSugar Fashion Countdown: Emmy Awards 2010

Sunday night's Emmy Awards brought the best and worst out onto the red carpet. We tweeted live some of our faves but in case you missed it, here's our countdown of the best and worse from the Emmy's 2010 Red Carpet. This time we're taking it from the great to the good and finally to the hell naw's. Hold onto your stilettos kids. Here we go:

Rocked
Claire Danes in Armani Prive

Claire Danes showed up to the red carpet glistening, shining and looking absolutely stunning in an Armani Prive strapless gown.Trust, this gown looked 100 times more dynamic and glamorous on screen...

Dianna Argon in Carolina Herrera

You can't help but look classy in Carolina Herrera. The elegant lace and nude, demure color were perfect for Dianna Argon of popular televesion series Glee.

Kim Kardashian in Marchesa
Reality star Kim Kardashian rocked the red carpet in a long white Grecian gown by Marchesa. In my book, Marchesa can do no wrong. Elegant silhouettes, curve-hugging draping and the perfect embellishments. I will say this was a little safe for Kim though. Props still, cuz the dress is gorge.

Job Well Done
Lea Michelle in Oscar de la Renta
It always warms my heart to see a navy blue moment on the red carpet. And of course, when the dress is fron my favorite designer, that makes the moment all-the-better. Lea Michelle showed up in a standout Oscar de la Renta mermaid gown. The dress - hit! The hair - miss! Oscar is served up best with understated, pinned up hair.

Kelly Osbourne in Tony Ward
Whoa! Where did Kelly go? She's dropped about 3 dress sizes and she seems to have refined her goth aesthetic completely. She looked stunning in her fave color - black. Though I loved the ensemble, I'm not a fan of the hair. It's very....Oprah circa 1995? No bueno.

Oh What The....HELL Naw!

Christina Hendricks in Zac Posen
Now I know boobs never go out of style, but THIS is a bit much! We normally love Christina Hendricks but this dress needed a little more fabric up top. Whoo lawd, put the kiddies to bed...

Lo Bosworth in ???
We have no words. Apparently Lo was given a "Mad Men" makeover during the preshow? This just might be the worse makeover we've ever seen. More like a make-under. Mad? Yes, we're certainly mad at this ensemble...

What did you guys think? Who's your fave and who's a hot mess? Soundoff below!

LoveBrownSugar Fashion Countdown: Tony Awards

The Tony Awards premiered last night on CBS and above hearing my favorite actor's name being called for Best Actor (Denzel Washington won a Tony for "Fences"), I thoroughly enjoyed the red carpet moments. Here's a countdown with a few of my favorites -  chime in if you agree/disagree!

6. Lucy Liu

Although I'm absolutely in love with this Marchesa gown, I'm not sure this was the best pick for Lucy. The fabric, the shape and the draping make for an incredible gown. However, I think the light color washes her out a bit...

5. Paula Abdul

I must say, I'm normally disappointed by Paula Abdul's outfit choices but I do think this one in particular worked for her. The mermaid silhouette looks great on her dancer's body and I love the intricate detailing that went into the train. It almost looks like one of those convertible pieces that can be ripped off at the bottom convert to a cocktail piece.

4. Michelle Williams
Michelle rocked out with all black everything for the Tony Awards. Normally, I would say this was a snoozer because of the simple silhouette but I do love the high slits and the fact that it has a train. And those shoes are POW! Diamonds are forever, clearly. I still need to make it over to Broadway and catch her in her recurring role in Chicago. Sooner or later...

3. Lea Michelle

I absolutely love the color on this piece. Lea Michelle rocked this Zac Posen to the tee. Excellent lip color choice as the red clearly compliments the banana-colored yellow in the gown. It's so refreshing and elegant to see starlets rock a strapless piece with a well placed updo or chignon. Love!

2. Jada Pinkett

So maybe I'm a little biased. She's one of my favorite leading ladies in Hollywood and I just spent my Saturday and Sunday nights watching her offspring on the big screen. (Sidenote: I loved the Karate Kid remake with her son Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan - it was awesome hence why I went to see it twice) I thought she looked stunning in this red mini Marchesa gown. The signature pleats and the rich color had me at hello.

1. Scarlett Johansonn

Not only is this girl a knockout, she's always at the top of my best dressed list! It was love at first sight with this sparkly Elie Saab number fit for Emeral City. From the sparkle, to the rich color and the double-strapped construction, this look was ON POINT! And the hair and makeup definitely take it there.

What do you guys think of my Top 6? Any celebs I miss? Soundoff below!
