Kickin' It: Reed Between The Lines NY Premiere

Last night I was invited to midtown NYC's Bar Basque to premiere BET's newest original scripted series Reed Between The Lines starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Can I tell you what an amazing night I had? I died a few times and came back to life. Between meeting one of my all-time hair & fashion idols Tracee Ellis Ross to my chance encounter with Kanye West, last night was an amazing whirlwind of star-gazing & swooning. Check out what I got into:

Bar Basque was the perfect intimate lounge for the festivities. Members of the cast were on site to mingle with guests and I FINALLY got a chance to meet (BFF in my head) Tracee Ellis Ross! She's even more gorgeous in person. She rocked out in a v-neck, cutout red satin dress, metallic stilettos and a classy curly pony.

I also bumped into co-star and up & coming teen actress Zoe Soul, who plays their twin daughter on the show. This girl was super cute & bohemian chic and I absolutely loved her curls! She says her secret is the Mixed Chicks product lineup.

After the premiere viewing, the cast members gathered on stage to talk about how happy they are that the first season is complete and ready to air. I did a write up on the event over at UPTOWN so feel free to check out all they had to say! And last but not least...

I met Kanye! Crazy, right? A friend of mine tapped me and mentioned that Kanye was across the room. Immediately, I gasped and made a beeline to his corner of the room. I'm writing a separate post all about my Kanye encounter so stay tuned. But for now, here's a pic of us before he left for the evening!

What about you? Will you be tuning into Reed Between The Lines tonight at 10PM EST on BET? Hope so! It's an amazing show and I'm happy to see positive family-friendly images of us on television again. Show your support and tune in tonight!
