Kickin' It: Made In America Festival Day 2

On Day 2 of the Budweiser Made In America Festival, I spotted even more street style, amazing hair and accessories. I also jammed to the sounds of Jill Scott, Run DMC, Drake & others. Check out a few of my snapshots.

Ran into some friends from my alma mater:
Me, Adrianne Michelle, Ta'Tiana Blue, Ebony Thorne
I don't even know what this was. But I couldn't help but take a picture of it...

This girl's accessories were superb. Street-style worthy for sure.

Cute shirt right? Turns out she actually reads LoveBrownSugar.com too!

Fashionable friends!

Me and my love Jared of Lowefactor.com

Ran into famed photographer Jerome Shaw of Photos by Rome!

Deets on my outfit: Romper: H&M | Chain: Vintage | Backpack: Forever 21 | Sandals: Topshop

Loved this girl's old school look. Timbalands & cutoff shorts, 90's attire of champions!

Kickin' It: Made In America Festival Day 1

This weekend, I returned to my old stomping grounds to partake in the Budweiser Made In America Festival. I spent four years in Philadelphia for my undergrad studies, so it felt good to be back in the City of Brotherly love, even if the trip was brief. Get into the sights, smiles & street style I bumped into at the festival:

I ran into Jared of Lowefactor.com and Quentin of Avenue Swank giving full on festival chic. Swag.

The eye gear at the festival was everything. From coke bottle top spectacles to wayfarers and aviators. Spotted lots of awesome eyewear. This beauty was standing near me during the Janelle Monae set. Had to snap her pic!

If this isn't free advertising for Nike, I don't know what is. I thought her tattoo was really awesome.

The hair! Can't forget the awesome hair & head gear. From golden chains to flower crowns, box braids and turbans. People got really creative.

Loved her updo! Should've asked her for a tutorial. That would've been awkward huh? Yeah I know.

Ran into my man Curran J of Kings Rule Together! When you have a chance, slip over to his site and check him out. He has a really dope clothing line. (He's had the likes of Jaden Smith rocking his tees)

Here's one of the tees - awesome right?

Obsessed with her up-do!

Stylish friends I stopped on the street.

My festival look!

Kickin' It: Rising Affluent Conference

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the 1st Annual Rising Affluent conference in NYC. If you follow me on Twitter or if you saw my Confessions of a Shopaholic: Business-Savvy Chic post, you know I've been raving about attending the conference for a while now. What an amazing time! I was so inspired by the entrepreneurs and successful folks who came out to give their gems of advice. I was overwhelmed by the amazing group of peers that came out to learn and grow. And of course I snapped street style pics! Below find some of my favorite quotes, and some of my fave looks.

LBS Street Chic: NYFW Day 2

Day two at Lincoln Center, I spotted a few more pieces of fashion eye candy. Check out some of these looks and tell me what you think!

Denni, Fashion Blogger, thechicmuse.blogspot.com
Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't have deemed this outfit weather-appropriate, but during Fashion Week, anything goes! Loved this fashion blogger's iconic high bun and bright red lips...runway-ready indeed.

Chalya, Fashion Blogger, chalya.onsugar.com
I promised this fashionista I wouldn't get a shot of her shoes (although her oxfords were cute as a button), since she had just changed out of her heels. With or without stilettos, I thought her eclectic mix of pieces was perfect for fashion week. Loved her printed purse!

Keia, fashion lover
This curvy fashionista made her headpiece the center of attention. She rocked a blue turban with feathered earrings and a psychedelic printed top.

What do you guys think of the looks here? Soundoff below!

LBS Street Chic: NYFW Day 1

With fashion week in full swing, and the tents buzzing with industry insiders, you're bound to see amazing outfits on the streets outside Lincoln Center. Here's a taste of what I saw on Day 1...

Elaine, Style & Beauty Editor, Ebony Magazine
I stopped this lovely lady named Elaine Welteroth in front of the steps of Lincoln Center because her outfit was so cute! Love the high-waisted look, and her shoes are bomb...
Can't go wrong with lace-up booties. Heavy contender for Shoe Candy, no?

Fashion Editor, ??
So I didn't catch this young lady's name or affiliation, but I did capture her amazing outfit. She mentioned that she was a fashion editor (I believe for Harper's or Glamour), evidenced by her amazing outfit. You guys know I'm a fan of leopard print...

Joy, Fashion Blogger, JoyLovesFashion.com
Can you tell she's a fellow fashion blogger? This young diva caught my eye with her standout harem pants (again, I'm a lover of animal print).
