LBS Street Chic: NYFW Day 2

Day two at Lincoln Center, I spotted a few more pieces of fashion eye candy. Check out some of these looks and tell me what you think!

Denni, Fashion Blogger, thechicmuse.blogspot.com
Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't have deemed this outfit weather-appropriate, but during Fashion Week, anything goes! Loved this fashion blogger's iconic high bun and bright red lips...runway-ready indeed.

Chalya, Fashion Blogger, chalya.onsugar.com
I promised this fashionista I wouldn't get a shot of her shoes (although her oxfords were cute as a button), since she had just changed out of her heels. With or without stilettos, I thought her eclectic mix of pieces was perfect for fashion week. Loved her printed purse!

Keia, fashion lover
This curvy fashionista made her headpiece the center of attention. She rocked a blue turban with feathered earrings and a psychedelic printed top.

What do you guys think of the looks here? Soundoff below!

LBS Street Chic: NYFW Day 1

With fashion week in full swing, and the tents buzzing with industry insiders, you're bound to see amazing outfits on the streets outside Lincoln Center. Here's a taste of what I saw on Day 1...

Elaine, Style & Beauty Editor, Ebony Magazine
I stopped this lovely lady named Elaine Welteroth in front of the steps of Lincoln Center because her outfit was so cute! Love the high-waisted look, and her shoes are bomb...
Can't go wrong with lace-up booties. Heavy contender for Shoe Candy, no?

Fashion Editor, ??
So I didn't catch this young lady's name or affiliation, but I did capture her amazing outfit. She mentioned that she was a fashion editor (I believe for Harper's or Glamour), evidenced by her amazing outfit. You guys know I'm a fan of leopard print...

Joy, Fashion Blogger, JoyLovesFashion.com
Can you tell she's a fellow fashion blogger? This young diva caught my eye with her standout harem pants (again, I'm a lover of animal print).

LBS Street Chic: Spotted in Union Square

Special shoutout to Shani over at Cashmere Cupcake for spotting me on the street and snapping this super cool collage of pics. I was on my way to Cocktails with Belle; an event hosted by A Belle in Brooklyn  (aka Demetria Lucas, creator of the "cutie run" from Let's Talk About Pep) in Union Square, when the ladies of Cashmere Cupcake and Tefftopia stopped me on the street to snap a pic! Since the event was an evening networking cocktail in the downtown area, I figured I would go for an effortless glam look with a bright-colored blazer and heels. And of course I had to throw on my favorite pair of heels and my turquoise double finger ring. Make sure you guys check out these fly bloggers - they're awesome!

Sidewalk Stalker: Precious Stones in SoHo

So street vendors in NYC are my absolute favorite retailers. Not only can you talk them down on prices, but they have some of the hottest stuff that has never and will never see the flourescent light of a bricks & mortar store. There's just something so authentic and original about picking out a piece off the sidewalk. Hence the start of my new weekly column: "Sidewalk Stalker". For all you ladies who ask where I get my fancy jewels, alot of times they come as a result of my "sidewalk stalking" aka scoping out street vendors. Here's one of my faves...

His name is "G" and his "store" is located in SoHo on Broadway between Prince and Spring. He makes these amazing pieces of jewelry with wire and precious stone. And his prices are so great. I purchased a double finger ring from him with tiny turquoise stones for only about $14.

Loved these fish scaled necklaces he was selling. The green one was my fave!

He makes all types of accessories with the stones. I thought these metal headbands were really cute and creative. Stay tuned for more Sidewalk Stalker adventures. If you're ever in town and you happen to pay "G" a visit (On Broadway between Prince and Spring) tell him LoveBrownSugar sent ya!

I Spy: Celeb Sightings & Street Chic

The celebs were out in full effect this weekend and so were the fashionable & fab show-goers. I managed to snap some behind the scenes pics from the weekend. Take a look:

On the left are two fly chicks named Coco & Breezy who make awesome designer eyewear with studding and the works. With their uber-stylish rocker chic style, I can't imagine how fierce their collection will be. Going to see their Fall 2010 collection tomorrow night - can't wait! On the right, you might recognize black supermodel Stacey McKenzie and the fly brother with the amazing glasses, she's posing with, is none other than Marc. C - the bowtie king. He makes these amazing unisex bowties, one of which we've seen Rihanna in recently:

If you love Real Housewives of Atlanta as much as I do, you'll recognize the following divo Dwight Eubanks. He was impeccably dressed (per usual) at the Arise Fashion Collective show on Saturday.

And now onto some of my fave models!
Ethiopian beauty Liya Kebede was present at the Arise Fashion Collective as well. She looked fresh-faced and stunning as I caught up with her backstage.

On the left is my favorite top model newcomer - Ms. Sessilee Lopez! I caught up with her after the Arise show before she headed off, and her model-off-duty look was so fab, I had to take a shot of it. Another one of my faves and a true legend in the industry, Veronica Webb, was also glowing backstage.
