Cover Girls: Michelle Obama Covers VOGUE April

Our beautiful first lady Michelle Obama graces the cover of next month's VOGUE Magazine. On the cover, she sports her beautiful new bangs in a gorgeous Reed Krakoff dress. In a candid exclusive interview entitled "Leading by Example", VOGUE captures quotables from both First Lady Michelle and President Barack Obama, who both look stunning. My favorite couple! You guys already know from 5 Reasons She's My Style Icon that I'm obsessed with Michelle O's style. Take a peek at some of the looks she sported for the cover story:

They ask her about everything under the sun from her relationship with the President to how she deals with stress and the pressures of being part of the First Family. “I think we are accountable to each other for being who we are,” says First Lady Michelle Obama.

About dealing with unexpected and unwanted changes in life, the First Lady remarks "Oftentimes, it’s the way we react to change that is the thing that determines the overall experience. So I’ve learned to let go and enjoy it and take it in and not take things too personally.”

Is she not stunning in that Michael Kors sweater and ball gown above? I'm gagging. Just the epitome of class. Love me some Michelle O.

What do you guys think of the cover? Will you be snatching this one off the newsstand?

Cover Girls: Beyonce for Vogue March 2013 (FULL SPREAD)

So on Friday we debuted the unofficial cover shot of Beyonce on the cover of VOGUE's March 2013 Power Issue. Now we've got the full spread! In her cover story, Beyonce gives us the scoop on the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, her plans to have more babies and her love for hubby Jay-Z. See below for shots straight from the pages of VOGUE, plus exclusive Behind-The-Scenes video of the shoot:

On giving birth to Blue Ivy, she said:

“She’s my road dog. She’s my homey, my best friend."

“I felt very maternal around eight months. And I thought I couldn’t become any more until I saw the baby…But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door...

...and I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain…We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication.”

 On having more babies:

“When I was younger, there were moments where I said, ‘I’m not going to have children.' And then moments when I wanted four. And now I definitely want another, but I don’t know when."

 On hubby Jay-Z:

“Just knowing someone’s always going to be honest and tell the truth, [who] can understand exactly what I’m going through—and I can understand exactly what he’s going through.”

This cover spread is absolutely stunning. This might be my favorite of hers. It was shot by famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

Check out this behind-the-scenes video of the shoot:

Cover Girls: Beyonce Covers Vogue March Issue

In case the Presidential Inauguration and the 2013 Super Bowl didn't give you enough of a Beyonce fix for these first months of 2013, behold Vogue has something for ya. Covering the March 2013 Power Issue of Vogue is none other than "QueenB!" as declared in the headline.

Beyonce rocks what appears to be a tailored blazer, or dress, or something. I'm a little confused about what exactly that "thing" is, but there's no doubt her face is flawless. She rocks a slightly undone pompadour to complete her "power" look.

Cover Girls: Rihanna for VOGUE Magazine

Earlier this morning (round 6am), everyone's favorite bad girl Rihanna posted a sneak peek at her VOGUE November 2012 cover story to her Instagram. She's spotted in a cornfield giving a vampy red lace moment. The cover was shot by fashion photographer extraordinaire Annie Leibovitz (thanks, Fashionista, for the tip).

1) I can't wait to see this full spread. 2) I'm hyped about her next album dropping this November. 3) Is she rocking the hell out of this pixie cut or what?

Thoughts on the cover?

UPDATE (10/15): Peep pics from the full spread below!

Cover Girls: Olsen Twins for VOGUE + Bey & Solange Best Dressed!

I was all too excited to see this morning that some of my favorite style icons will be featured in VOGUE's Best Dressed Issue this year! First, I'm obsessed with the boho-chic Olsen twins.

I've always been huge fans of their style (yes, since the days of Full House!) and I'm actually surprised that this is their first ever VOGUE cover. Congrats to them! As stylish sisters and budding entrepreneurs, I truly look up to them. And they look faboosh on the cover!

Even better, this year's VOGUE Best Dressed theme centers around "Dynamic Duos" - basically the flyest & most fashionable siblings! Head to VOGUE.com, and you can vote for your favorite set of stylish sisters. Topping the list as the only siblings of color are my absolute faves Beyonce & Solange Knowles!

They'll definitely have my vote. Here's the full list of nominees:

  1. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
  2. Elle and Dakota Fanning
  3. Claire, Virginie, Jenna, and Prisca Courtin-Clarins
  4. Ruby and Lily Aldridge
  5. Poppy and Cara Delevingne
  6. Bianca and Coco Brandolini
  7. Beyoncé and Solange Knowles
  8. Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon
  9. Pippa Middleton and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
  10. Kate and Rooney Mara
Which set of siblings will have your vote?

Cover Girls: Chanel Iman in Spanish Vogue

Chanel Iman strikes again with another banging editorial spotlight! This time she glams it up for Spanish Vogue and these outfits are to DIE for. They spotlighted one outfit from each of the greatest designers of our time. What an honor! As Lyfe Jennings would say, "Must be nice..."

I love that they put her in some of the hottest spring trends of the season. Well, it's Vogue. Did we expect anything less? The Bottega Veneta jumpsuit to the left is so fun and free and I'm gagging over those Givenchy open-toe wedges to the right - one of the styles at the top of my spring shopping list.

It's the age-old rule of fashion: Once Chanel (design house, not Iman) does it, it's in! Picture to the left is proof that clogs are coming back with a vengeance. If you're a trend hopper like me, watch out! You might actually end up in a pair of these by the end of the season...go figure.

Sequin jumpsuit. Lanvin. Say no more...*gags and passses out*

Those royal blue pants on the left look divine. Cute enough to take from day to night on the weekdays, and cool enough to run errands on the weekends; an unexpected staple piece.

Sick Sites Spotlight: Vogue Black & Vogue Curvy

By now you guys have probably heard about how Vogue Italia is mixing it up with new sites Vogue Black and Vogue Curvy. I have a habit of raving about the italians like I'm a native. They're such innovators and I love how they've been promoting diversity so fervently in recent years - first with the release of the first all-black issue of Italian Vogue, then last summer with the release of the Black Barbie Isssue (yes, my copy is still shrink-wrapped). Well now, they're pushing it to the limit with new sites Vogue Black & Curvy. Take a second to click through the site - they have some amazing features and of course I'm in love with the images.

With this and the my lovely Italian friends over at Lost In Fashion giving me some shine on TV, I fall deeper in love with them everyday...

Fashion's Night Out: September 10th

For those of you lovelies who will be in NYC on September 10th, don't miss out on the event everyone in Fashion is talking about: Fashion's Night Out! Organized by Vogue, the CFDA and NYC & Company as well as a host of designers & fashion insiders - this event was organized as a stimulus for the Fall fashion season as well as the kickoff to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

To combat the current lack of spending due to these tough recession times, over 700 retailers have opted to stay open as late as 11PM for budding shoppers. Not only can you shop till the late hour, but you will also have the opportunity to run into celebrities, party with designers and engage in a number of fashionably glam activities organized by these different retailers.

Liya Kebede for Fashion's Night Out

For a complete list of the activities as well as a list of retailers that will be selling the Fashion's Night Out T-shirts (40% of the profits will be going towards the National Sept. 11th Memorial & Museum fund) - click HERE.

Stay tuned for an update on all the best events going on that night. I'm going to compile a nice, full itinerary once all the events are finalized and all celebrities confirmed. In the meantime, peep the star-studded PSA as well as some more FNO footage below...

Just In: Vogue September 09 Issue!

This just in! Charlize Theron graces the cover of this year's coveted September Issue of Vogue. Charlize is gorgeous and I cannot wait to get this one off the stands. It's said to be a measly 584 pages (still massive if you ask me). Also - speaking of September issues - I cannot WAIT for the new documentary "September Issue" to come out. It's supposed to be all about the creation of the coveted issue at Vogue. I love watching stuff about the inner workings of the fashion industry. Here's the trailer...
