A Sneak Peek: Pour La Victoire Campaign

The fabulous brand, Pour La Victoire, is cashing in on the excitement of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week by releasing their first ever ad campaign! Lovelies, PLV sells some of the chicest shoes and accessories on Earth (I saved $295 for my first pair of PLV wedges!)

Anywhoo, they landed Terry Richardson, an amazing fashion photog, to capture supermodel Jessica Hart for their Holiday and Resort campaign. The shoot blended sophisticated modern looks with retro accessories. Peep Jessica’s beat face. That red lip is everything! It is classic 50’s mixed with the sleekness of present day lingerie.

PLV will soon be headed to the ad pages of our fave glossies. But until then, we have a behind the scenes peek into the makings of this sizzling shoot. Check it out below:

My Insta-Week 9.3.2012

Happy Labor Day folks! Can you believe it's the last hurrah of summer already? I can't. I truly lived it up this summer. Hope you did too. Here's a glimpse of my last week & weekend of summer.

- My Whole 30 is officially over! Phew, what a journey. If you're thinking about doing a detox or body reset before the seasons change, I totally recommend Whole 30. Check out my post about it here - it's life changing! Even though it's over, I'm finding myself making much smarter health choices when it comes to food. That's something no "fad diet" can do. It's truly a mental reset. I know you guys are all like "Twitpic or didn't happen" so here's the proof below - before & after pics.

-  I celebrated my blog's 3 Year Anniversary on Thursday! HUGE thanks to everyone who came out. Check out what a blast we had in this post or the Facebook Album. Also big up to Stella & Dot for giving me the perfect jewels to compliment my 'fit. The Renegade cluster ring on the top right is one of the pieces they gave me. I now wear it with everything.

- Made In America Festival this weekend was the perfect sweet ending to an awesome summer. I sang, I shimmied, I snapped Street Style. Twas good times. Check out the Kickin' It post for more on that.

Kickin' It: Made In America Festival Day 1

This weekend, I returned to my old stomping grounds to partake in the Budweiser Made In America Festival. I spent four years in Philadelphia for my undergrad studies, so it felt good to be back in the City of Brotherly love, even if the trip was brief. Get into the sights, smiles & street style I bumped into at the festival:

 I ran into Jared of Lowefactor.com and Quentin of Avenue Swank giving full on festival chic. Swag.

 The eye gear at the festival was everything. From coke bottle top spectacles to wayfarers and aviators. Spotted lots of awesome eyewear. This beauty was standing near me during the Janelle Monae set. Had to snap her pic!

If this isn't free advertising for Nike, I don't know what is. I thought her tattoo was really awesome.

The hair! Can't forget the awesome hair & head gear. From golden chains to flower crowns, box braids and turbans. People got really creative.

Loved her updo! Should've asked her for a tutorial. That would've been awkward huh? Yeah I know.

Ran into my man Curran J of Kings Rule Together! When you have a chance, slip over to his site and check him out. He has a really dope clothing line. (He's had the likes of Jaden Smith rocking his tees)
