Ok folks, so we've discussed
box braids here on LoveBrownSugar quite a few times before. Ever since Poetic Justice-style individuals came back with a vengeance over a year ago (in the mainstream at least), they've been all the rage. Spotted on fashion-forward celebs like Solange and even older sister Queen Bey, they've officially been given the mainstream stamp of approval. I recall asking you guys in my
Beauty & The Box Braids post to weigh in on whether or not I should get a set. To date. I haven't but I'm sure it will happen this summer.
Anyway, the latest celeb to jump on the box braid bandwagon is songstress and
The Voice correspondent
Christina Milian. She tweeted yesterday about her new 'do and that she's been wanting to try them out since she was 12!
Thoughts on Christina Milian's new look? Fierce or Foolish?
They're ok; her sections are a little large for the small size of the braid, but she's pretty. I just think either the parts should've been smaller or the plaits a little larger.
ReplyDeleteThe sections are big so that it will not damage the hair
DeleteBox braids are one of my favorite protective styles. They look cute on her, but she's a pretty girl so she can pull them and just about any style off.
ReplyDeleteThe part of the braids should have been a bit smaller....it would have looked much better
ReplyDeleteI love the look, she looks great, im a fan of box braids, I have yet to try them...the more I see it on pople the more I want to fo it
ReplyDeleteI think there Fierce, there a style that anyone can rock and they look nice on her.
ReplyDeleteYeah..I don't like them at all.
ReplyDeleteThumbs down.

Definitely fierce. She looks great! But box braids are hard to look bad in. They're an easy style to rock and they really elevate your style.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a girl who went to Jamaica and got her hair done by the natives lol
