Lots going in the world of fashion & beauty this week. Check out the scoop from some of my favorite places around the web:
'Preneurship
It only makes sense, if you're known for something, to make $ off of it, right? Well...in some circumstances at least. Let's keep this PG.
Angela Simmons, hip-hop royalty and reality star, added another extension (no pun intended) to her entrepreneurial endeavors this week by partnering up with Indique Hair for a new hair line. I wrote about this last week, and this Wednesday was the official launch party at Parlor.
Jennifer Hudson is getting into the designer groove as well with a new line slated to hit QVC in September. Jennifer says her line will include pieces that suit every girl from a size 6 to a 16.
Slave Shoes or Creative Genius?
Apparently designer Jeremy Scott is in some hot water for his latest collaboration with Adidas. The fashion-forward and edgy designer has been known for his outrageously genius Adidas sneaker designs. But his latest design has struck a bad chord and been pulled from shelves for resembling...slavery.
His latest sneaker design features golden shackles at the ankle that some critics are saying resemble slave shackles way too closely. Thoughts on this?
In other more positive designer collaboration news, famed designer Narciso Rodriguez is partnering up with Kohl's for a surprising capsule collection all priced under $150. Feel free to check out his dedicated page on the Kohl's Website HERE.
Refinery 29's 30 Under 30
I spent a good portion of my Thursday gagging over Refinery29's top 30 list of NY socialites. In their first annual 30 Under 30, they highlight fashion faves of mine like Solange Knowles, Olivia Palermo and fashion editor Shiona Turini. I discovered a host of new people to admire as well. It's a well curated list.

Yea, I was not a fan of those slave sneakers. I can see how some might be outraged. I'm looking forward to seeing this new JHud line will look like. More importantly, I'm interested in seeing what the price will look like because some celebs QVC lines are a bit pricey.
