4 Styling Tips For Summer Neons

So neons are all the rage. What's new? Most of us shopping the racks at major retailers this season have probably spotted an overwhelming number of pieces in fun neon colors like pinks, oranges and blues. The tricky part about rocking a neon? Figuring out how the heck to incorporate it into your wardrobe without resembling the front sign of a 24 hour diner! So, I've thrown together a few quick tips on styling neons for the summer. Check it out: [CONTINUE]

Sweater, H&M (similar here and here for under $20!) | Cambridge Satchel (get it here) | Gladiator Flats, Marais USA (similar here) | Necklace, Joe Fresh (similar here) | Bangles, Ann Taylor LOFT (love these too

The first rule of thumb when dealing with neons is to keep it simple. Pairing more than one neon for a color-blocking effect is fine. Just don't go overboard with more than two. If you're pairing two neons, make sure they're complimentary colors that don't overpower each other.

Pairing your brights with neutrals really makes the outfit come together. For my summertime looks, metallics are my neutrals. These gladiator flats from Marais USA have come to be my mainstays this season. I have them in gold AND silver!

Never underestimate the power of a great neon nail. Nail lacquer is the easiest way to infuse fashion trends into your wardrobe without being overwhelmed.

Above are two great neons (pink and yellow) from new beauty brand LiSi Cosmetics and below is a vibrant orange I picked up at Urban Outfitters.

Bright colored accessories are another cool way to play with the trend sans intimidation. Jump right in with a cute clutch or a full handbag like my Fluro Cambridge Satchel.

So what's holding you back from this trend? Have you tried it?
