Drop The Dryer: Mini Twists Twist-Out Styling

On this week's rendition of Drop The Dryer, Nikita from My 12 Month Natural Hair Challenge experimented with Mini-Twists last week. Here's an update on what her mini twist "twist-out" looked like. Check it... [CONTINUE]

I had a Mini-Twists Styling Week on my blog recently (three days and three different styles), and afterward I clearly/unfortunately had to take the twists out. It was a bit of a torturous and knotted process. I don't think mini-twists will be a regular thing for me, but I did love the big hair result I got after rocking the twist-out for a couple of days.

Here's how it ended up looking:

I'm all for the "Big Hair, Don't Care" movement.

Just make sure to keep your hair moisturized and be very gentle when you comb it out (with conditioner in it to make for the least amount of damage). Take it for a spin if you haven't already!

  1. Very cute! I love her style also!

  2. Because of my busy lifestyle, I usually keep my hair in mini twists for about 2 to 3 weeks, making sure to moisturize my scalp and ends every other day. I think rock a mini twist out for a week, two if possible (see my avi).
