Kickin' It: 2012 BET Awards

Yesterday I had the plesure of attending the 2012 BET Awards as an exclusive media guest of Ford. From conducting interviews on the red carpet, to snapping shots inside the Ford Hotspot backstage, I had an amazing time covering the event. Here's a recap:

So for my red carpet look, I went with a one-shouldered Fashion To Figure New Front-Tier Assymetrical dress. As you guys may recall from my Road to BET Awards: Day 2 post, I was deciding between a Monif C frock and expecting a shipment of 4 dresses from ASOS to choose from as well. Sadly, the dresses didn't ship in time so I had to pull a few other pieces to choose from. Fashion To Figure was nice enough to send me a few options and I ultimately though this one was a winner.

Jessica of Glamazons Blog and I both opted for one-shouldered dresses. Hers is Lanvin for H&M in a beautiful golden yellow.

When I got there, I ran into Rocsi Diaz who was getting ready for the pre-show. Her hair stylist Q Hardy tipped me off that she was wearing Tom Ford for Gucci. Love her colorful highlights!

As you guys saw from my red carpet live blogs, I ran into tons of celebs on the red carpet.

Shawn Lollie, Manager of Multiculural Marketing at Ford went on-air with Terrence and Rocsi during the pre-show to give away a brand new 2013 Ford Escape to one lucky viewer.

 I saw "big bawse" Rick Ross on his way up to the pre-show stage.

The whole Maybach Music Group crew was there, from Ricky Rozay to Wale and Meek Millz.

The OMG Girlz performed during the pre-show as well.

After the pre-show, I headed backstage to the Ford Hotspot to snap more pics. Stay tuned for a post on all the live action I caught in the Ford Hotspot! In the mean time, here's a post-video recap of my time at the show:
